A single tank truck that can simultaneously carry several different types of unpacked bulk or liquid cargoes is known as a cistern with separate compartments (multi compartments cisterns) or a sectional tank (multi compartments tank truck). The inner cupola of such tankers, which is used for the placement of transportable liquid or bulk loads, has internal partitions (walls) that divide the dome into separate independent compartments (chambers). Each road tanker section has a separate top opening (manlid) for freight loading and bottom openings (pipes) for shipment loading/unloading can either be used separately for each compartment or joined into one central collector (pipe). Each unit is isolated with a valve (butterfly valve). Cisterns with compartments (tankers with sections) have between 2 and 9 separate units with volume ranging from 2 m3 to 25 m3 and can simultaneously ship as many different, partial and combined bulk or liquid shipments as separate compartments there are.
